In an empty room of my temporary home, between two windows, there lives a cat. A big, lazy and furious kitty who hissed at me when I went to caress it. Obviously it wasn't Yiannis' cat as I had thought.
I haven't even checked outside today, all the trapes are closed. It's about 6pm. Despite that my face still sweats even if I am not moving at all. Behind the walls there are some insects similar to grasshoppers making loud noise. And I am wondering how could ANYONE move or even think with this kind of heat? I for one am not functioning at all. I'd like to lay in the water all the time. But I am in the middle of the island. And this island is surrounded by the lovely Mediterranean!
Yiannis, my host is a Cypriot, but he has been living in England for the last few years studying architecture. He's a fine character, bohemic and artsy. The house looks according to that - messy (tho they cleaned for hours with a friend last night). He just moved in, so half of the things are not functioning yet. The stove for instance. There are stuff like paintings, incense, scarves, art supplies etc lying around everythere. I like it here. To finish the first night together we drank that bottle of red wine the iranian guy had squeezed into my bag.
