It was a sad goodbye yesterday night in Turtle Bay Village. The most awful thing was the packing though (I had postponed it several times). Yiorgos and me, we hit the road quite late, cause it's not so hot to drive in the dark. We had already driven through Girne and were making our way up the Five Finger mountain range, when Yiorgos noticed that the engine was overheated. We stopped by the road and he poured water into it. We waited. We started driving again, but it didn't get better. We stopped again. Poured my 200ml of water into the engine, too. Nothing changed and we had to think about what to do. We contacted Efe and Halit and they sent someone to bring us more water. We waited. I had to go pee. There was really no place to go since we were on the edge of the cliff. So I went into the dark, scaring assumable creatures with a stick in front of me, behind the first bush. Fastest pee of my life.
Then came help with 5 litres of water. We poured it into a seemingly bottomless tank. Then it turned out it was a bottomless tank. The friend-taxidriver of Halit's crawled under the car and worked on a problem for good 45 minutes I guess. But in the end we had to leave the car by the road and take the same taxi back to Turtle Bay.
So here I am, back in Turtle Bay. Just where I belong right now.
