14th of August - And the days go by

Finally I am used to the climate around here and I am actually able to enjoy sun. But secretly I wish that tomorrow would be cloudy anyways. Clouds have been lurking behind The Five Fingers mountain range for some days now, but they hardly ever cross it. Yes I am (halfofficially) living in the north now, in Turtle Bay. Turtle Bay is one of many holıday villages around here, where all houses look the same - light yellow dreams arranged in nice circles accompanied with curvy roads and nice pools. There is a 'supermarket' in the middle of the village, where you can get the essentials but never anything fresh. Here are also two bars: King's Bar which is right across the street from us and usually pretty crowded in the evenings, and Village Bistro & Bar where noone goes as they say. Here's also a gym (I've heard) and a stadium which is always empty. And that's about it, oh there's also a car rental. And a beach which doesn't deserve to be called a beach by local standards (In Estonia it would kick ass, we are used to rocky beaches without sand)

My daily routine is quite simple. I wake up around eleven o'clock (ten fourty six to be accurant), eat some cornflakes and run some errands in the house. You know, housewifey stuff like dishwashing, turning the washing machine on, ironing, making the bed, washing the floors and dusting. It turns out that I like the surrounding being shiny clean although I have been claimed all my life that I am a piggy if it comes to that (pigs are actually quite clean beings, they say) I divide those things on days so they would fill up. Around one o'clock I fill a bottle of water and head out to the rooftop to get some tan (I am embarrasingly white by local standards, not that I aim to be like turkish or pakis) Every time I think I can last an hour up there, but I return soon to the house. This 40-50 degrees of Celcius is not a joke and it is quite stupid of me to test it before 4pm anyways (not to worry I am wearing loads of SPF 30 at all times) So I check what's up on facebook then take 'Dinner for two' and go to the pool where it is much easier to last an hour during which I swim 3-4 times, sunbathe my back and read about 40 pages. Then I leave the pool, get something to eat, maybe take a little trip to the market too. Watch some TV. Read some estonian news online. Think about blogging but never get to it. Take a shower.

The evenings are not that similar day by day. Halit comes home from work. Sometimes we cook, sometimes we go to Korineum for dinner and last night our neighbours asked us over. Russians and ukrainians and us, it was awkward, really, no common language. It wasn't a totally silent hour though cause the ukrainian lady spoke some english (I only know it was an hour cause we put the chicken in the oven just before going, otherwise I'd say it took for ever) And believe you me, I really tried to speak russian, I did. Set free from this lovely dinnerparty we took the chicken out of the oven and went to King's Bar for some drinks. We sometimes do that. We chat and yesterday we even danced (half of the song)

So my life looks like I am on a vacation here. Of course I am still considering finding a job here, but at the moment it's difficult and I have other priorities.
